Online Library Instruction

Request an Online Librarian

If you teach an online-only or hybrid course, an "online librarian" can enroll in your Blackboard course for a week to provide instruction covering library research skills.

Please complete the online form to request an online librarian.

After you submit this form, and pending an open scheduling slot, we will follow up with you by email or phone about what would be most effective and engaging for your students.

Blackboard details: A NDSCS librarian will be enrolled in your Blackboard course in the Librarian Role for the agreed-upon week. Librarian default privileges include access to all sections of the course control panel except the Grade Center and Content Collection. We will only post what we have discussed and confirmed. Materials posted can remain in your course shell for the rest of the semester.

We ask that you:

Place the request 2+ weeks in advance
Communicate with us so we can plan what would be most effective for your course

Has your class recently received a library instruction session? As part of the library's assessment efforts, we would appreciate your feedback. Click the button to take the survey.
