Finding Culinary Arts Books and DVDs

Mildred Johnson Library has a plethora of cookbooks and other culinary arts-related books available for check-out. The most recent titles can be found in the Library's Culinary Arts Collection located on the first floor near the elevator. To browse the Library's entire collection, head to the balcony (Level 2) and locate books in the Dewey range 640-642.

Searching the Catalog

To find materials, search in the box provided below or, go to our Resources page.

The search box allows you to find books, DVDs, and CDs that are in the library and electronic newspapers, magazines, and journal articles that are online. Searching “Anywhere in the record” will retrieve any record that contains the words searched.
After your initial search, you can modify your search to broaden or narrow your search results. For example, here are the search results when conducting a search using the term culinary and selecting NDSCS Library Catalog Only as the search profile:

Located on the right side of the results page, the Tweak your results menu  provides several filters to narrow the results of your search. If your first search retrieved hundreds of results, you might decide to limit your results by choosing a specific author, subject heading, resource type, or publication year.

From the search results page, click on an item's title for location information and additional item information.
